Anuj was chosen as the technical lead for some of the larger ASP.NET initiatives in Texas - including DELL's battery replacement web application. In addition, Anuj has been involved with migrating classic ASP sites to ASP.NET.
As an ASP.NET Architect, some other roles that Anuj has adopted in the past include:
- Performance Troubleshooting – Ensuring scalability of existing ASP.NET websites – both at the application as well as the database level. Anuj has worked extensively with managing storage of large datasets on both the client and the server - to optimize performance of data driven websites.
- UI Layer Performance: Read Anuj’s ASP.NET Architect blog to learn why most of the the built-in controls in ASP.NET are not industrial strength. To overcome this shortcoming, Anuj routinely leverages third party vendors such as Syncfusion and Infragistics. In addition, he has built several custom user controls to provide validation, error checking, logging etc.
- IIS administration, configuration and troubleshooting: Several scalability, security and performance issues are centered around the web server. An ASP.NET application which is improperly configured at the IIS level, is most likely not performing at its full capability. Anuj has worked closely with IIS Administrators to ensure that certain checklist items are addressed to ensure security and scalability of his ASP.NET applications.
- Internationalizaton/Globalization – Anuj was the lead on DELL’s battery replacement web application where he was tasked with ensuring multi-lingual display of all resource strings. Anuj worked with .NET’s internationalization support to enable run-time loading of appropriate languages (through satellite assemblies) in a manner that was transparent to the end user.
